The Community Health Foundation Bangladesh was established at Mymensingh in the year of 1994 by thirty eminent philanthropic persons of different profession and position under the leadership of late professor Dr. AIM Mafakhkharul Islam. He very often used to quote,“Journey of thousands miles begins with a single step”
The Community Based Medical College Bangladesh (CBMCB) is an academic enterprise of Community Health Foundation (CHFB). To contribute modestly within the parameter of Health and Science the overall national efforts in achieving a meaningful, Self-sustain quality of life and environment.
Community Based Medical College Bangladesh is located at Winnerpar, 10km. ahead of Mymensingh town adjacent to Dhaka-Mymensingh highway Road. By road from Dhaka and Mymensingh town by easily available public transport.
Community Based Medical College was established in 1995 and is duly recognized by the Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council and affiliated since its inception to the University of Dhaka. The training of doctors in CBMCB is also recognized by the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS). Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Bangladesh and World Health Organization (WHO) has endorsed the inclusion of CBMCB in the World Directory of Medical Institutions.
The academic and administrative facilities are hosted in a 4 storied building within the Hospital campus with over 1, 00,000 sq ft floor space. The total campus is built over 22 acres of land. It is a 650 bedded running Hospital has outdoor & indoor facilities and always busy with patients. Academic faculty is enriched with senior and renowned members. The college provides very good hostel facilities for both local and overseas students. The college library is rich with all recommended text books, reference books, and international journals.
Eligibility
MBBS in Bangladesh has a duration of 5 years. The eligibility criteria are:
The candidate has to pass qualifying examinations(HSC/ ‘A’ level)or equivalent examination.
The student should not pass class 10/SSC/ ‘O’ or equivalent examination before 2016.
The student should not pass class 12/HSC/ ‘A’ or equivalent examination before 2018.
The minimum GPA aggregate requirement in SSC or equivalent & HSC or equivalent is 8.00.
The student should have a minimum GP of 3.5 in Biology.
The qualifying grade in each subject individually is ‘C’ and so GPA in ‘A’ level is (total marks in the three subjects) divided by 3
