Yenepoya University
Yenepoya Medical College is on the outskirts of Mangalore city in the Panchayath of Derlakatte.
The college was established in 1999. Post-graduate courses were commenced in 2005. The
M.B.B.S. (Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery) course is of 4.5 years plus 1 one year
mandatory internship as per set standards of the MCI for India. The courses are mainly oriented
for earning a degree.
Founded in 2008, Yenepoya University is the first private deemed to be a
university in the district of Dakshin Kannada (South Kannada). The institute is
known for its social commitment through conducting free medical, eye dental
camps, in the community. The institute offers different discipline courses in the field
of medicine.
Yenepoya University offers undergraduate and postgraduate level courses in
Medical, Dental, and Nursing. The Yenepoya University admissions are based on
the NEET results and merit scores in 10+2 from recognized board.
Eligibility
Candidates must have passed two-year Pre University Examination or 10+2
or equivalent exmination recognized by state/central government with
Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subject.
Candidate must have secured minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry
and Biology for General candidates (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
